My Favourite Session: Callum Tongue

Ipswich Town U18s academy coach Callum Tongue talks to Ross Embleton about his favourite coaching session, focused on directional play and playing forward.

Callum has used these practices with both Ipswich and during his time working in the Manchester City academy.

They discuss each of the four practices within the session, the key coaching points and planning for potential errors, and how the practices can be adapted to be used by coaches working at all levels of the game, from grassroots youth, through to the elite game.

You can also download the session plan for free, here, for you to take away and adapt for your team.
